Jack Emmett Option Secured

We are delighted to announce that we have taken up an option in Jack Emmett’s contract to keep the midfielder at the club for the 2025/26 season.

Jack made the move to Nethermoor on the eve of the 2024/25 campaign after an impressive spell on trial in pre-season.

Emmett, who had returned to football with Knaresborough Town two years ago, had to take a break from football after suffering with chronic fatigue.

The illness came after the midfielder had been a key player for Harrogate Town in their promotion to the EFL in 2020 but the midfielder had to step away from the game in January 2021.

The 31 year-old is an exciting player who, showed just why, he was playing in League 2 just a few years ago on several occasions last season.

The central midfielder made 40 appearances scoring five goals with his last strike coming against Mickleover in March.

Away from the pitch Jack studied at both Loughborough University, where he gained First Class Honours, and then at the University of Nottingham, where he did his Masters in psychology.

More information on further players under contract and our full retained list will be announced in the coming days.
