Guiseley AFC are delighted to confirm the emergency loan signing of James Hurst from fellow Vanarama National League side Torquay United.
The 23-year-old, who can operate in defence or midfield, arrives on a temporary basis until January.
Hurst moved to Torquay from Hednesford Town in the close-season and featured in the Lions’ 1-1 draw at the Launa Windows Stadium earlier this season. He has seven goals to his name in 17 league games this term.
Listing the likes of West Brom and Portsmouth among his former clubs, Hurst has represented England at various youth levels and is available for selection for Saturday’s trip to Tranmere Rovers.
Mark Bower said: “I’m delighted to be able to get James on board and I’m sure he’ll bring quality and experience to the squad as we approach a difficult run of fixtures.
“For someone who’s only 23, he has plenty of experience and know-how at this level and higher up, so I’m sure he’ll be a real asset to us.”
