Guiseley host Hinckley United in their final scheduled Blue Square Bet North game on Saturday (27th), and they will hope to end the normal season on a high before the play-offs.
The Lions have had a tough run of games recently but managed to pull out some impressive performances and results, beating both Chester FC and Harrogate Town and drawing at play-off rivals FC Halifax Town.
With Hinckley already relegated and set to be playing in the Southern Premier division next season, Steve Kittrick’s men face a potential banana skin and the Knitters caused a fair few problems of their own in the reverse fixture at the Greene King Stadium in December.
The Lions eventually ran out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Wayne Brooksby, Danny Boshell and Josh Wilson, but it wasn’t as convincing as the scoreline suggests.
As a special thank-you to the fans, and to celebrate our link with the Guiseley Juniors, this Saturday is to be Lions Share Day, meaning that there is half-price admission of £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and £2 for 12-16-year-olds. If you wear a Guiseley shirt, however, past or present, you can get in absolutely free.
There will also be a lap of honour and a guard of honour from the Juniors for what should be a really enjoyable day as the club looks to go into the play-offs in positive fashion.
