In order to cope with its ever expanding programme of Community Projects Guiseley Community Foundation has appointed Connor Thompson as an Apprentice Community Coach.

Connor will report to Steve Taylor, Community Development Manager, and will assist him in the planning and delivery of all aspects of the Community Programmes.

Connor will also lead and / or supervise individual sessions within the programme after appropriate training and will organise and complete the monitoring and evaluation that is required of each session.

A former Guiseley School pupil Connor joined Guiseley AFC Academy and has previously received the club’s Young Achiever of the Year Award.

Connor has already been involved in a number of Community Foundation projects in a voluntary capacity and has completed a FA Level 1 Coaching Course in preparation for his new role.

He now aims to complete a 14 – 16 month part-time apprenticeship course leading to a Level 2 Community Activator Coach as part of his role within the Community Foundation.
