Guiseley AFC Directors and staff hope that all supporters and volunteers are keeping safe and well during these challenging times.
Earlier this week, the Premier and English Football Leagues suspended all fixtures until 30th April, and whilst the National League is currently set to resume on the 4th April, with the peak of infections expected to be 12 weeks away, it seems unlikely that matches in our league will commence on this date.
We urge all supporters to heed the Government advice which can be found here.
As you will be aware the club’s income is heavily dependent upon home games, 3G hire and other sources of finance. Whilst we run quite a tight ship financially, the ceasing, and possible abandonment of the season is and will continue to hit us hard financially, in the region of £65,000.
We hope that the English football family will help and support non-league clubs to remain in business, but in the immediate short term our cashflow has dried up. Therefore, we will be launching some initiatives to help us through this difficult time.
We would appreciate your support, whether it be in the form of backing these initiatives or simply spreading the word amongst friends and colleagues.
