Guiseley progressed to the County Cup Quarter Finals with a hard-earned win at National League neighbours Harrogate Town this evening where second half goals from Joe Cumming and Kayode Odejayi saw the visitors through.
The Lions will be on familiar ground one again as they travel to Yorkshire Amateur for the Quarter Final tie in the New Year with the victors facing the winners of the Knaresbrough Town versus Barnoldswick Town game which is being played tomorrow evening.
The Lions fielded a strong line-up with several tweaks to the usual formation with a back line that included Jack Dyche, Odejayi and Curtis Morrison alongside Cummings.
In a first half of few chances the visitors created a couple of openings but both and Neil Patience but their was very little for the 158 paying customers to get excited about although Guiseley did look to have a valid claim for a penalty waved away as a defenders arm and not his head looked to have cleared the ball from a corner kick.
That changed just before the hour as Cummings rose above a posse of players to head home a corner from the left and put the Lions ahead.

Odejayi then wrapped it up after some great work by Louis Walsh who shrugged off three defenders before laying the ball on a plate for the veteran striker to stroke home with twelve minutes remaining.
