We can confirm that Connor Ferguson has left the club to take up an exciting opportunity in America with Portland Timbers.

Connor joined the Lions from Leeds United in the summer after impressing on trial following his release from Elland Road.

The 21 year-old full back has made 26 appearances for the Lions this season having started the last seven games.

Ferguson has signed for Portland Timbers 2 who compete in the Pacific Division of the MLS Next Pro league.

He is the second Lion to go to the States this season with Taylor Bowen having made the move back in October.
