The First Round Proper draw has given us a home tie against our old rivals FC United of Manchester on Saturday 10th December.
Given the history of FCUM’s visits to West Yorkshire clubs, including a recent one to Frickley, the police have insisted on a 12 noon kick-off in order to “minimise disruption to the local community, prevent serious public disorder and alcohol misuse”.
Club officials will be meeting with the Police in the next few days to finalise arrangements and further details will be on our website as soon as they are available. The game is very unlikely to be ‘all ticket’ but it will be stewarded and policed and the fans segregated.
This segregation will ensure that Nethermoor will, as always, provide a safe and enjoyable environment for young and old alike as we would not want anyone dissuaded from coming to what should be a great game.
Earlier on the same morning as the Trophy game we will be holding the first of the trials for our proposed Conference Youth Alliance side. Anyone between 16 and 19 years old who is looking to further their academic and footballing career should email footballacademy@leedslearning.net for further details and an application form.
