End-of-season awards winners

Saturday saw more than 100 fans, players and staff celebrate a successful campaign on what was a hugely enjoyable evening at Otley Golf Club.

As well as speeches from first team manager Mark Bower, Youth Academy manager Dave Currie and Ladies’ manager John Shirt, a host of awards were handed for what was a positive season across the board for the club.

In his speech, Mark Bower said: “Despite what was a hugely challenging start to my time in charge of the club, I’ve really enjoyed making the step up to manager and I know we have a great chance of making that step up next season with the attitudes and personnel we have in that dressing room.

“There are no prima donnas, just lads who would give everything for one another and we’re all really looking forward to next season already.

“I just want to say thanks to Danny Boshell and Martin Stringfellow, who have been a major help to me this season, as well as Adie Towers and Phil Rogerson. I also want to say a special thank you to the fans.

“To take almost 1,000 to Altrincham last week was superb and not just then but the support we get on those long midweek trips to places like Brackley and Solihull as well. The players really do appreciate it and we thank you for your continued backing.”
