Defeat Ends The Lions 3 Year Tenure In Top Flight

Boreham Wood secured the win they needed to be sure of their National League play-off place – beating already-relegated Guiseley at home.

Bruno Andrade grabbed his 20th goal of the season in just the third minute when the visitors failed to deal with a corner and the striker smashed home the loose ball.

Morgan Ferrier made it two with a close-range finish from Andrade’s cross.

The Lions pulled one back in bizarre style when a cross from John Rooney struck both posts and Dayle Southwell was on hand to convert the rebound.

But Kane Smith curled in a third to make sure of Boreham Wood’s win and book a play-off meeting with Fylde.
