Danny Forrest leaves Nethermoor

Guiseley AFC can announce that striker Danny Forrest has left the club after discussions with manager Steve Kittrick at midweek training.

Following talks it was agreed that it is in both parties’ best interests for Danny to find a new club in order to play regular football.

Danny has been a popular member of the playing squad, both with fellow players and fans, and the club wishes him the best of luck and thanks him for his contribution.

Danny told the club’s website: “I’m gutted to be leaving and I wish the the club the very best in the future.

“All the lads are top notch and the fans are great, I’ll miss them all but I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on their results.

“I just want to play football every Saturday and hopefully this will help me to do that.”

Danny will always be remembered at Nethermoor for his incredible wondergoal against Harrogate Railway in the West Riding County Cup which can be viewed here.
