Dale departs, new date for Harrogate game

The club can confirm that Zack Dale’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

Despite a number of energetic substitute appearances, Zack struggled for regular first-team starts under both Steve Kittrick and current manager Mark Bower.

The promising winger, who arrived at Nethermoor in the summer of 2012, and was loaned to Curzon Ashton late last year.

However, following discussions between Zack and our CEO Adie Towers, it was decided to be in the best interests of both parties to cancel Zack’s contract.

Adie said: “After a long chat, myself and Zack felt it best for both the club and the player if he were to move on and further his career by playing regularly elsewhere.

“Since joining, he has been a popular figure among both players and supporters and everyone at the club wishes him well.”

We can also confirm today that the postponed home game against Harrogate Town will now take place on Tuesday 11th February, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
