Connor Brown Joins York On Loan

Right-back Connor Brown has gone out on loan until the end of the season at York City where he will link up once again with our former Assistant Manager Dave Penney.

Brown has made 60 appearances for Guiseley and his combative style has resulted in a number of yellow cards but his all out effort made him a favourite with the fans.

The 24 year-old originally signed for Guiseley on September 28th 2016, after his contract at Oldham Athletic was terminated by mutual consent after he had made 101 Football league appearances for them.

Sheffield-born he came through the ranks at his home town club Sheffield United but left without making a first team appearance.

He was then signed by Oldham Athletic and in his first season made 29 appearances for the club.

In May 2013 he was rewarded with a one year option on his contract being exercised.

At the end of the season he was offered a new contract but was seldom in the starting line-up and after loan spells with Eastwood Town and Hinckley United he joined Carlisle United on loan in November 2014.

He played nine games before returning to Oldham in January 2015.

Good luck Connor!
