Guiseley Community Foundation, in partnership with Guiseley AFC, are delighted to announce their first Community Give Back Day on Saturday 6th December ahead of the clash with Leek Town at Nethermoor.
The Foundation’s Foodbank Appeal has run for the past 11 years providing local vulnerable families in Aireborough with food at Christmas time and over the festive period, this will continue next month.
The Community Give Back Day includes a Foodbank Collection, Toy Appeal and a raffle. All funds raised from the raffle will be used to support the work carried out by the Foundation in the local area.

Donations for the Foodbank Collection and Toy Appeal can be made at Nethermoor from 12pm – 2:45pm.
Items needed for the Foodbank Collection:
Breakfast cereals, tinned meat/fish and pies, jars of meat/fish paste, tinned vegetables, instant mash, tinned potatoes, stuffing mixes, gravy granules, tinned/packet/cup a soup, pasta, rice, tinned/dried beans/pulses, pasta/cooking sauces, flour, bread mixes, dumpling/Yorkshire pudding batter mixes, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, UHT milk, long life fruit juice/cordial, jam, marmalade, honey, peanut butter and chocolate spread and any other food items.
Toiletries required include toilet rolls, cleaning products and feminine hygiene products
Cat and dog food is also required to support vulnerable families.
Festive items that are require to help with the creation of Christmas Hampers include Christmas pudding, tinned sponge puddings/long life cakes, custard, rice pudding, jelly, instant whip, brandy sauce, evaporated milk, tinned fruit, savoury/sweet biscuits, dried fruit/nuts, crisps/other savoury snacks, chocolate, sweets and selection boxes.
Items needed for the Toy Appeal:
New unwrapped and unopened toys suitable to give to a child as a present over the festive period.
The football club has, in the past, received donations of several hundred pounds worth of food, toiletries, pet food and Christmas related treats, exceeding expectations each year and we would like to thank you for your continued support.
