Community Foundation Unfurl A Raft of New Activities

With the return to school this week Guiseley AFC Community Foundation has unfurled a new set of activities for young people including a five-a-side league, Friday football sessions, Goalkeeper coaching and a new addition in elite striker coaching.

The latter is designed to enhance a young player’s goalscoring ability and is for 12-15 year-olds and will run on a Tuesday from 4-5pm.

The first session will be on September 18th and the cost for the six week course is £20.

Group sessions will focus on positioning, shooting and penalty taking techniques.

Leading the course will be Senior Community and UEFA B licence coach Luke Robinson, a graduate of the Guiseley AFC Academy.

The Thursday five-a-side leagues for 14-16 year-olds recommence on Thursday, September 13th, and run from 4-5pm.

The cost is £2 per player per session.

Friday Football sessions for girls and boys aged 7-14 years will run from 3.45pm until 5pm. The cost will be £1.50 per person per session.

Goalkeeper coaching proved a popular addition to the Community Foundation’s programme of events in the Summer and a new series of sessions will commence on Wednesday, September 12th, for boys and girls aged 5-14 years.

The cost for a six week course on Wednesdays from 4-5pm is £20.

All these events will take place on the 3G pitch at Nethermoor Park, Guiseley.

Booking is now open and places are limited so make sure you don’t miss out.
