Community Foundation Trustees

Following on from the appointment of Steve Taylor as Community Development Manager the GAFC Community Foundation has appointed new Trustees.

A number of local people have stepped up to become trustees as the Community Foundation looks to move the Foundation forward.

They will be officially appointed at a Trustees Meeting at the end of next month.

They are:

Councillor Graham Latty, who as one of our local Councillors should have his finger on the pulse of the local community and its needs along with possibly pointing us in the direction of sources of funding.

Peter Gable, who is Chairman of the Guiseley and District Lions Club and a long term supporter and sponsor of Guiseley AFC. These connections will also mean that he will have knowledge of the needs of the district so that he can help target our projects to maximise their effectiveness.

Mick Glossop, who joins in his role as Chairman of the Guiseley AFC Supporters’ Club.
This will hopefully bring even closer links between the Foundation and the club’s supporters.

Kinnon North, who moves from her long term voluntary role within the Foundation to become a Trustee.
She brings with her a deep rooted passion to see a broad and successful role for the Foundation within the district.

Father David Pickett, who is the Rector of St Oswald’s Parish Church, Guiseley, and Guiseley AFC Club Chaplain.
He currently organises youth and other groups within his church and will be bring a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to the Foundation.

We continue to be on the look out for new trustees who have local knowledge and can help identify needs within Aireborough and surrounding districts so that new projects can be targeted to meet these requirements but with the above we believe we have made an excellent start .

The Guiseley Community Foundation is partially funded by the the National League Trust with support from the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association so looking for additional funds is a constant and on-going activity.

We are therefore looking to form a ‘Friends of Guiseley Community Foundation’ scheme whereby companies and individuals can make donations to help the Foundation.

Suggested donations which can be gift aided are:

Corporate – £500 per annum;
Individual – £50 per annum.

In return you will receive prominent thanks and exposure on website and social media, regular updates and photo opportunities along with the satisfaction that comes with knowing that you are helping a local charity and worthwhile causes.
