Community Foundation Newsletter 9th September 2022

Following a busy summer of activities Guiseley AFC Community Foundation’s newsletter is back.

Back to School

Everyone at Guiseley Community Foundation hopes that all the teachers and children at our partner schools have had a fantastic first week back at school. All our coaches are really looking forward to the year ahead, and can’t wait to begin all the exciting projects we have planned.

Soccer Camp Success

This summer’s soccer camps have been the busiest the Foundation has ever seen, with 30 children attending daily. It has been great to see so many regulars still enjoying our soccer camps, as well as meeting so many new children over the past six weeks. We are looking forward to releasing the details of our October soccer camps in the coming weeks.

Summer Healthy Holidays Camp

Alongside our soccer camps, the Foundation has also been running its Healthy Holiday camp in partnership with Guiseley High school. The Foundation were able to provide each child with a healthy hot meal and snacks every lunchtime, as well as a range of exciting activities. The most popular activities included laser tag, as well as visits from the police and fire services.

Girls Football Camp

The Foundation was also very pleased to offer a girls football day, which was attended by over 25 girls. We hope that the Lionesses’ Euro success will help inspire many more girls to play football.
