Community Foundation awarded charity status

The Guiseley AFC Community Foundation has received further good news this morning after being accepted as a registered charity.

Just yesterday, the club was sent a letter from MP Stuart Andrew on the positive news regarding our partnership with Action for Children. Now, the fact that the Guiseley Community Foundation is a registered charity is seen as a major step forward for the club off the field.

The Foundation is now on the official Register of Charities, with a charity number of 1154298.

Club chairman Phil Rogerson, who helped set the Foundation up alongside Trudi Hanniford and Kinnon North, believes the awarding of charity status will further boost sources of funding to help improve links between the club and the community.

“To become a Registered Charity is a major step forward for the Foundation as well as the club as a whole,” he said.

“It means we can apply for new sources of funding to continue and improve our work within the community. We hope everyone at the club is as excited by this as we are and that everybody will continue to be impressed by the progress being made by the club off the field.”
