Following speculation in the press and on social media over the last few days, the club wish to make clear its position in relation to Liam Craig, former captain of Hibernian FC.

Extensive discussions did take place between the club, the player and his representatives. Having impressed both Liam and his team with our ambitions to progress both on and off the field, it seemed that a deal to bring Liam to Nethermoor could be agreed.

After spending some time with his family on holiday, Liam decided that for domestic reasons, and a wish at 28 to continue in the full-time game, he would not be joining the club. We, of course, respect his decision and wish him well for the future.

The club continue to pursue other targets to further strengthen the squad as we seek to become an established club in the Vanarama National League.
