Following the club’s successful application for a Premises Licence, we have been working behind the scenes to meet the various conditions placed upon the licence.
The biggest hurdle to overcome was the requirement from West Yorkshire Police for CCTV to cover all serving and consumption areas which is quite a typical condition for licenced premises. As we wanted consumption to be permitted across the whole ground, we did unfortunately encounter some delays and significant costs in installing a comprehensive CCTV system.
A big thank you to our away kit sponsors McLarnon Electrical for helping us with this project alongside funding support from Guiseley AFC Supporters’ Club and club officials.
Guiseley AFC Supporters’ Club covered the cost of the new license application via funds raised through their 1909 Club which you can join at any time.
These cameras are now in place so we have met the required conditions and Saturday’s match will be the first, for many games, where you can consume alcohol whilst watching the match.
Unfortunately, as the Clubhouse and the football ground are now two separate licences, any alcohol purchased in the clubhouse cannot be brought into the football ground, and vice versa. The Clubhouse will be open before, during and after the match, as usual.
The good news is that the Raise The Roof pop-up burger pitch will be selling a variety of alcoholic beverages from local suppliers and we will also set up a pop-up drinks unit by turnstiles 3 & 4; so if you are looking for a hot or cold drink you no longer have to queue at the Lions’ Diner or Clubhouse.
The Lions’ Diner will also be selling our usual cans and some Iocally crafted beers along with non and low alcohol options as well as pies, pasties and chips.
We would like to thank all of our supporters for their patience whilst the license issues have been resolved.
Adult ticket prices have been reduced to just £10 for tomorrow’s game and all our adult/concession season ticket holders can bring a friend for free, find out the full details here.
