Club Statement: 20/21 Matchdays

Following the League’s statement yesterday and the possibility of crowds being allowed back in the stadium from Saturday 3rd October, we want to bring you up to speed with activities at Nethermoor Park.

Many of the additions and changes listed below have been made possible by the generosity of the Premier League Match Day Fund provided to clubs to help them adapt to the new conditions.

The socially distanced ground capacity has been calculated at 945. Guiseley AFC were asked by the League to be a case study for grounds with a mixture of seating and standing, and worked with Movement Strategies to achieve this. It had been planned for the pre-season friendly against Stockport County to be a pilot test event with fans but unfortunately, due to rising levels of cases within Leeds, this was not permitted.

So how will match days look when you do come back?

Hopefully not too different.

Season ticket holders are still able to reserve their seat but all seating will be allocated on social distancing rules. To allow us to accommodate all of our fans we will utilise all seating stands for home fans. Unallocated seats will still be available for fans but may be set out as individual seats, all will be clearly marked. To retain social distancing, the bottom row of seats and all aisle seats will not be in use. All clubs have the option to not allocate a percentage of tickets to away fans, we are currently still discussing our approach to this.

All turnstiles and the Lions’ Diner have been fitted with perspex screens and staff have access to PPE. Tickets for matches will be sold online, any unsold tickets will be available for sale on the day, at a designated turnstile, payments can be by cash or card. There is a possibility that some matches will be sold out in advance, season ticket holders will be guaranteed entry. Contactless and cash payments will be accepted at the Lions’ Diner, with the club house catering outlet being cash only. The Club House bar accepts payment by cash and card but is all seater, standing is only permitted when queuing to purchase your drinks. A one-way system is also in operation. Drinking is still permitted in sight of the pitch. We would ask that you are particular mindful of your rubbish and ask that you please place it in the bins rather than throwing it on the floor.

The Club Shop will operate a one in, one out system. Programmes will only be available as a digital version and team sheets will not be printed. Team selections will be available on Twitter. The 50/50 draw will still occur with sellers located behind each goal, please bring the correct change if possible.

Smoking and vaping is no longer permitted within the ground, you may pass out through an exit gate to have a smoke but please ensure that you have your ticket with you to re-gain entry. There is a new Spectators’ Code of Conduct which we would ask you to read, this sits alongside our usual Ground Regulations.

You may notice as you move around the ground that some areas have a red poster up, until an hour before KO, these areas are deemed player only areas and we would ask you to refrain from using these until this time. The bar will be open as usual before the match but you will not be able to access the bar from the ground side until 1 hour before KO.

We do hope that you will feel comfortable enough to return to watching live football but we would ask that you are also socially responsible, please maintain a minimum of 1 metre distance between you and anyone outside of your “bubble” and bring your own hand sanitiser.

Let’s make this season memorable for footballing reasons only! #GuiseleyTogether
