Caretaker player-manager Mark Bower has moved rapidly to bolster his first team squad since his appointment on Wednesday.
Former Bradford City defender Matt Clarke, with whom Bower played during his own time at Valley Parade, has been signed to add height, strength and experience to the centre of defence as Bower shifts his focus to his new managerial responsibilities. Â Having played the past three seasons for clubs in Malta, Clarke will be available for selection once international clearance has been received.
It has also been confirmed that summer signing Michael Burns, who did not feature in the first six league games of the season, has resumed with the club and will be in the squad for Tuesday’s local derby at home to Bradford Park Avenue.
