We are delighted to announce that academy defender Chukwudalu (Chuk) Molokwu has signed a first team contract.
The central defender turned 18 last week and has had the perfect late birthday present by becoming a part of Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill’s first team squad, he has spent time with Adam Lockwood at Wakefield AFC who the former Lions manager recently took charge of.
Chuk has impressed the joint management team in training and pre-season and they moved quickly to secure his signature as soon as he turned 18.
He has played a key role in the academy’s progression to the second round of the FA Youth Cup and will continue to play for Dave Currie’s side when their fixtures resume.
