Charles joins on loan from Huddersfield

Guiseley AFC are delighted to announce the one-month loan signing of Huddersfield Town forward Jake Charles.

The 19-year-old, who can feature out wide or up front, made his first-team debut for the Championship side in March and has represented Wales at youth level.

Grandson of the great John Charles, the youngster is highly rated by Chris Powell and his staff at the John Smith’s Stadium and joins Adam Lockwood, Will Hatfield and Tom Craddock with the Lions ahead of the new Vanarama National League season.

“Jake is a really exciting prospect who I’m delighted to welcome on board,” explained Mark Bower.

“I know Chris thinks a lot of him at Huddersfield and we’re sure he’ll add extra quality and strength in depth as we look to establish ourselves in the Vanarama National League.”

Versatile defender Jordan Hendrie has also signed terms ahead of the new season, having featured in the club’s promotion last term.
