Following in the footsteps of Jake Young, recently departed after signing a professional contract with Sheffield United, academy striker Kieron Ceesay signed first team forms on Friday.

Kieron has made an impressive start for the academy scoring seven goals in his five games so far. Kieron was with Manchester United from the age of 9 to 16.

The 17 year-old joins Tabish Hussain and Nathan Newall as academy players pushing for first team places at Nethermoor, as well as the likes of Luke Hogg, Jack Lazenby and Fletch Paley, who are all out on loan.

Will Thornton and Scott Smith have progressed through the Academy to hold down places in the current first team squad.
