Captain Commits To Lions

We are delighted to see our skipper Danny Lowe put pen to paper on another deal in preparation for our third season in the Vanarama National League.

A popular figure around Nethermoor, never more so than on the last day of the season when his equalizing goal kept us in the top flight of non-league football, Danny, 31, is equally adept at left-back and centre-back.

The former Halifax Town skipper signed for Guiseley ahead of the 2014-15 season.

Assuming the captain’s armband when Andy Holdsworth did not feature, Danny was a regular throughout his debut season at Nethermoor as we gained promotion to the Vanarama National League.

He has notched up 125 appearances so far for the Lions.

Manager Adam Lockwood said of the signing:”I am delighted that Danny as our captain has signed again showing his commitment to the club and its future. He is an important signing for us.”
