We are delighted to announce that Derren Boyle has extended his stay with the club.

The central midfielder who broke into the first team last season from our academy has featured in every game across the pre-season campaign.

The 18 year-old caught the attention of Ian Richards when the former Stocksbridge manager first arrived at the club.

Liam Ridehalgh handed the academy midfielder his senior debut last season, he went on to appear five more times across the campaign whilst continuing to learn his trade with the Young Lions.

Boyle has been a key part of the team in the friendlies so far making three starts and coming on as a substitute in the other five games.

In the Young Lions’ 2025/26 FA Youth Cup campaign Boyle scored six goals in three games for the Young Lions.
