Lions boss Mark Bower is hoping for more luck and clincalness in the box on Saturday as Dagenham and Redbridge visit.
The visitors come into the game with a win on the opening day at home to Southport but that was followed up with a defeat at Chester on Tuesday night.
The Lions are still looking for their first points of the season following a last minute strike from Wrexham on Tuesday.
Saturday’s fixture will be the first ever between the two sides and Mark thinks the visitors will be up for it “Dagenham have built their own reputation, we cannot expect them to turn up like fancy dans, they will be bang up for it.”
“They have a very experienced manager and good quality in the side, it will be a difficult test for us.”
Reflecting on the first two games Mark went on to say he is hoping for more luck and clinicalness “Take the positives from Saturday and tonight, a little bit more luck and clinical cutting edge in the box will hopefully see us pick up some points.”
In preparation for the game Bower stated “We need to look at their strengths and weaknesses and see what we can do in relation to those. “
Mark also hinted changes may be made from Tuesday night’s starting line up “We will see how the players are on Thursday after two tough games.”
