We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Ollie Battersby ahead of this afternoon’s trip to Lancaster City.

We have moved to sign Ollie Battersby as Brad Wade takes a short break due to personal reasons. We will continue to support Brad as a club through this difficult time and look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready.

Battersby is a 22 year-old shot stopper who came through Grimsby Town’s youth setup and also spent time with Sheffield United during the 2016/17 campaign.

Whilst with the Mariners Ollie gained plenty of experience out on loan with Gateshead, Hereford, Ilkeston Town, Belper Town, Mickleover Sports and Lincoln United.

Battersby left Grimsby in May after 13 years with the club.
