The Lions were given another hard workout by a talented Barnsley X1 side who came back from conceding a goal after just ten minutes to clinch the game with two goals in a fifteen minute spell midway through the second half.
The home side got off to the best possible start as Trialist B picked the pocket of a Barnsley defender and drew the keeper before slotting the ball into the bottom corner with ten minutes on the clock.
Both sides created a raft of opportunities but it was until the second period that the visitors started to show the benefits of being a full-time outfit and forced an equaliser on 63 minutes when Jorge Sikora diverted the ball into his own net.
Kyle Trennery made two good stops to deny Barnsley but he was eventually beaten on 78 minutes when Fabio Jalo wrapped it up for the visitors with a crisp finish from close in, The Tykes were knocking on the door having hit the bar twice in the second 45.
