Atkinson And Fondop Loaned Out

Guiseley defender Rob Atkinson is joining his old boss Mark Bower at Bradford Park Avenue on a loan deal until the end of the season while striker Mike Fondop has signed on loan for FC Halifax Town until the end of the campaign.

Centre-back Atkinson, 30, has not played for the Lions since he was injured at Maidstone back in October, his tenth appearance of the season.

He has played 78 games since joining from Accrington Stanley in 2015.

Born in North Ferriby Atkinson came through the youth ranks at Barnsley before moving on to Grimsby Town and playing for them in the Trophy final at Wembley against MK Dons.

Atkinson played for Fleetwood Town alongside Jamie Vardy as they won promotion to the Football League.

Atkinson gained two England C caps in 2011.

Mike Fondop has found a regular starting place hard to nail down in recent weeks and joined the Lions in October from Oxford City.

His last appearance came in last Tuesday’s defeat to Gateshead.

Good luck Rob and Mike!
