Ash Proctor Joins As Head Therapist

Guiseley AFC have announced the appointment of Ash Proctor as Head Therapist following the departure of Martin Stringfellow.

Proctor, who has a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports and Exercise Therapy and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine, looks as if he will have his hands full with the club having an extensive injury list.

He has worked with the academy for two seasons and works part time at Leeds United Academy.

He is currently working to bring a long list of players back to fitness including defender Danny Lowe who injured a knee joint at Ebbsfleet and is currently rehabbing after resting for three weeks.

Midfielder James Wesolowski has been out injured since the game at Maidenhead but he is now back in training.

Defender Jake Lawlor who suffered a nasty knee injury with a medial ligament tear and meniscus tear had an operation and returned to the gym last week.

Proctor said: “His rehabilitation is progressing well and he aims to start running over the next few weeks.”

Midfielder Will Hatfield sustained a groin injury which was tendon related. He has just received sign off from the surgeon to resume full training.

Proctor said:”If all goes well it should be two or three weeks before Will is fit for squad selection.”

Another on the injury list is winger Lee Molyneux who currently has an injured shoulder and will be out for at least three weeks.

There is good news at last for centre-back Elliot Green who has been out since last April but recently returned to full training. He sustained a knee meniscus tear.

Liam Hughes is currently resting after taking a heavy blow to the shin in training which resulted in severe bone bruising and swelling.
