The Lions were unable to complete a Vanarama National League double over FC Halifax Town on Saturday as Sam Walker claimed a point for the hosts at The Shay.
Meeting for the fourth time this season, the Lions began well following last weekend’s victory against Bromley – Anthony Dudley going close before the home side ended the half on top.
However, Mark Bower’s side led through Dudley early in the second half when Dudley turned his marker and registered his fifth goal for the club since joining from Bury.
Walker ultimately gained Halifax a point with a well-taken free-kick late on and the Lions were forced to hang on somewhat for a point during the five minutes of extra time.
Next up for Bower’s men is an FA Trophy trip to Marine or Burscough who meet in midweek.
