Guiseley completed their pre-season campaign with a 2-2 draw against Curzon Ashton this afternoon with goals from Jordan Preston and Michael Rankine completing a comeback after the home side had taken an early two-nil lead.
The Nash went ahead on nineteen minutes through Connor Hampson who fired across Dan Atkinson into the far corner and Iain Howard then stroked one wide of Atkinson after he and Ash Palmer had failed to clear their lines.
Adam Boyes had a glorious chance to halve the arrears in a one-on-one with Cameron Mason but the home custodian tipped his shot around the post. But Cameron was not so lucky a few minutes later when he failed to collect Nicky Clee’s shot leaving Jordan Preston with an easy tap in just before the break.
Guiseley’s trialist left back fired one just over the angle after the break before Will Hatfield pushed a free kick to Michael Rankine who fired home from twenty yards to square matters.
Starting line-up: Dan Atkinson, East, Trialist, Vidal, Smith, Hatfield, Boyes, Clee, Rob Atkinson, Palmer, Preston.
Second half subs: Deasy, Lockwood, Lawlor, Rankine, Boshell, Wells replacing Dan Atkinson, Smith, Boyes, Clee, Atkinson and Preston.
