Alfreton Clash To Be Streamed Live For FREE On YouTube

The Lions make their first appearance at Nethermoor in 2021 on Saturday as Alfreton Town make the trip to LS20, the game will be shown in full for FREE on our YouTube channel.

The game will kick-off at 3pm with the stream going live from 2:45pm.

As fans are still not able to attend we want to make our matches as accessible as we can, we would encourage anyone to “pay what it’s worth” via our Crowdfunder page to help cover our matchday costs, donate here.

We are still incurring matchday running costs of around £800 per home game and whilst we’re still awaiting the details of the government’s financial package, we would ideally like to see these covered to help keep the free livestreams running.

Any funds raised in excess of this figure will be put towards purchasing upgraded equipment for our excellent Guiseley Radio team, who voluntarily provide match commentary at all games home and away.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel to be the first to hear about our latest video uploads!

After three successive away trips and numerous postponements The Lions are back at Nethermoor for the first time since Boxing Day on Saturday.

Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill will hope for an upturn in the result as the time away from home has resulted in three 1-0 defeats to York City, Chester and Gateshead.

It will be our 16th game of, what has been, a stop start season so far with three wins, three draws and nine losses coming in the previous 15 Vanarama National League North fixtures.

Saturday marks the first time the two sides have clashed since a 4-2 defeat for The Lions back in August 2019 at Nethermoor as the away fixture was due to be played in April but was called off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Billy Heath’s Alfreton side have also played 15 games but their last was on 28th December in a 3-3 home draw with Kettering Town.

Their scheduled fixtures against Boston United twice, Blyth Spartans and Hereford were all called off meaning their trip to LS20 is their first game of 2021.

The Reds sit in 21st place in the league on the same points as ourselves after 15 games played.

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday with the action getting underway at 2:45pm on YouTube which will include full match commentary from Guiseley Radio.
