We are delighted to announce that young striker Adam Haw, who made his Guiseley AFC first team debut last season, has signed another contract with the club.
The 19 year-old Guiseley Academy graduate, who made one start in National League North and had six further appearances from the subs bench, netted his maiden goal in the 1-1 draw at Kettering Town. He followed this up with a second goal in the 2-0 FA Trophy win over Chorley.
He now looks forward to gaining more minutes on the pitch and scoring more goals for the first team.
Haw said:”As a local lad from Ilkley I look forward to playing in front of a home crowd. That is something we missed last season due to Covid and I am looking forward to experiencing that. it was so weird last season but hopefully things will return to normal.”
A prolific striker with the hugely successful Guiseley Academy Haw had a 20 day trial with Brentford earlier this year along with teammate Lewis Hey. In that spell the pair played against Chelsea Under-23s, an experience Haw was grateful for.
He said:”It was an opportunity not to be missed, to be playing in the amazing set up at Chelsea was a real experience. The full time training and coaching at Brentford got my fitness level up and it has fired me up for the new season and I cannot wait for training to start. I am really happy at Guiseley and I am hoping for more game time in the coming season. I will be working hard to achieve this.”
He added: “My aim this season is to break through and grab a regular place in the first team. I was just happy to be around the first team squad last season but now I want to push on.”
