Adam Haw Signs First Team Contract

We are delighted to announce academy graduate Adam Haw has signed a first team contract after impressing Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill.

Adam signed first team forms in the summer after featuring in several pre-season games but has done well in his appearances so far notching two senior goals which has seen the Joint Managers move quickly to sign the 18 year old to a contract.

Speaking of signing the contract Adam said: “I feel it is a privilege to play for the first team and the standard is very high. My aim is to play at the highest level possible.”

“I think the management team here at Guiseley are doing all they can to improve us young players and we are grateful for that.”

It has been a strange season with supporters not yet able to attend first team games but Adam cannot wait for them to return to Nethermoor “I am happy to have signed a contract with Guiseley and I now look forward to when there will be a crowd in the ground and hearing them cheering us on. I have experienced something of the Guiseley crowd when in the academy we have had big FA Youth Cup ties. I can’t wait to play in front of our fans.”

You can read more of our exclusive interview with Adam in our Matchday Magazine here.

Haw, who is from Ilkley, missed much of last season after sustaining an injury in the FA Youth Cup game at York City last October. This only made his desire stronger and after playing at Emley before the season was cut short and in pre-season he returned to action with The Lions before making his first team debut at home to Gloucester. He came off the bench at Kettering where he scored a crucial equaliser for his first senior goal, a strike which showed great awareness as everyone stopped but the striker slotted in.

He made his first start for Marcus and Russ’ side in the 2-0 win at Spennymoor where he set up Andy Kellett for the opening goal, his second Lions strike came in the Buildbase FA Trophy win at Nethermoor over Chorley.

Congratulations Adam!
