Guiseley Academy are holding an open day and trials later this month for school leavers.
If you are an aspiring young footballer currently in year 11 or 12 at school we would love to see you!
The Open Day takes place at BXXFT Gym at Gordon Mills, Guiseley, L20 9PD on Saturday 11th February from 1:30pm with a trial on Tuesday 14th February from 11am-1pm at Leeds Trinity University, Horsforth, LS18 5HD between 11am and 1pm.

During your stay with the academy you will study BTEC Level 3 in Sport (extended diploma) at the Young Lions’ Educational Hub or have the option to complete A Levels at Benton Park.
The Young Lions side compete in the National League U19 Alliance North Division alongside clubs such as Notts County, Chesterfield, Solihull Moors, Gateshead, Chester and others.
Guiseley AFC Academy graduates have made close to 600 professional football appearances from the Championship, League 1 & 2, the Scottish Premiership, International football and even the MLS.
Adam Haw is a first team regular this season and came through the academy with Brad Wood, Hagie Damba and Oliwier Grzelak also gaining first team experience whilst playing for Dave Currie’s side.
Several players have gone on to forge careers in professional football since leaving the academy such as Ben Whitfield who left the set up to sign for Bournemouth and spent five years playing on the south coast and is now at Barrow, Josh Stones who has recently signed a loan with Ross County from Wigan Athletic and Nathan Newall who is currently captaining Sunderland’s U23 side in Premier League 2.
Academy graduate Jacob Brown is playing in the Championship for Stoke City and played a part in Scotland’s recent World Cup qualification fixtures and Jake Young, who was scouted by Sheffield United whilst with the Young Lions has just joined Barrow on loan from Bradford City in League 2.
