A Tribute To Bob Jeffray

Bob Jeffray – a lovely man who will be remembered and missed by so many at Nethermoor.

Sadly we heard the news our Life Member and former Wednesday Gang volunteer and Kit Manager had passed away aged 84 on Sunday 23rd March, here we pay tribute to the great man.

Bob Jeffray, a man always wearing a smile, a man who loved Guiseley AFC and dedicated so much of his time to the club he loved, with the people he loved.

Bob first started volunteering with the club all the way back in 1993 when he came along to help paint the fences blue.

This volunteering went on to last 32 years from there when he completed a variety of jobs making sure Nethermoor is always looking top notch.

He went on to become our Kit Manager, alongside his Wednesday Gang duties, and his proudest football moment was when his beloved Guiseley AFC secured promotion to the Vanarama National League in dramatic fashion at Chorley on 9th May 2015.

He worked alongside Mark Bower and Danny Boshell in the role for a few years, a role he cherished.

Bob was crowned a Life Member alongside his wife Sandra in January 2020, a richly deserved award for all his efforts over the years.

Bob, a beloved husband to Sandra, father, brother, grandad and great grandad will be sorely missed by his family, friends and everyone at Guiseley AFC.

Before the game on Saturday we will hold a minute’s applause to pay tribute to the lovely man.

Here’s some tributes to Bob from people connected to Guiseley AFC:
