Team News

Ian Richards was boosted by the returns of Amir Berchil and Kyle White in the last couple of games.

Jack Emmett did miss the trip to Redcar through illness but it is hoped he will be fit for Tuesday night.

Will Longbottom is continuing his return to full fitness, he played the first half at Steeton and came on as a substitute in the last gasp draw on Saturday.

The Opposition

Leek Town are in their third campaign back at step three and are hoping for another improvement on their 8th placed finish last time out.

In the 2024/25 the Blues finished in 15th place well clear of any relegation worries.

Josh Brehaut became manager in August 2023 and led the side to the final qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup – the furthest Leek had been in the competition in nine years.

The Blues currently occupy the last relegation spot in 19th place after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat on the road a Curzon Ashton.

They have picked up 14 points from 15 games, with five draws and three victories so far.

Previous Meetings

When Leek were promoted to the Premier Division in 2024 it ended a 16 year gap without a clash between the two sides.

Since their return there has been a win for each club and two draws making the record pretty even.

Last season Leek came out on top in September 2025 with a 4-0 win but exactly three months later Will Longbottom’s stoppage time strike earned Ian Richards’ Lions all three points.
