Lions Secure New Number 1

We are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Hall from Bradford (Park Avenue).

The 21 year-old goalkeeper has moved up a league to join the Lions after his former club lost out to Emley in the Northern Premier League East Division play off final.

Of his new number one Ian Richards said: “Jack joins us after an excellent season last year. He is a keeper who is agile across and off his line, a first class shot stopper and has an exceptional kick that can turn defence into attack very quickly. He has a superb attitude, work ethic and the desire to play as high as he can.”

Jack initially joined BPA in October 2024 for his first taste of men’s football after coming through Sheffield Wednesday’s academy.

After that loan came to an end Hall had another taste of the Pitching In Northern Premier League East Division at Bridlington Town where he spent the last two months of the 2024/25 campaign.

Then Avenue moved to sign the keeper permanently in the summer, he made 33 appearances last season in a team that only conceded 34 goals across 42 league games – the second lowest in the division.

Whilst with the Owls Hall spent time with the first team travelling to games and on pre-season tours.

He also received a call up to England U18s, he made a substitute appearance against Russia and kept a clean sheet in a 3-0 win.

Now the shot stopper is a goalkeeper and outfield coach at the Palmer School of Excellence which was set up by current Sheffield Wednesday captain Liam Palmer.

Jack’s away and training kits are available to sponsor, please email james.pickles@guiseleyafc.co.uk for more information.
