Club Statement – Fan Behaviour and Ground Regulations

Following repeated recent incidents both at games and after games, the club has updated it’s ground regulations and admissions policy to mandate that all U16s, without a season ticket, will be required to be accompanied by a responsible adult to be allowed entry into the ground. This change has been introduced to ensure that Nethermoor Park and it’s surroundings remain safe and enjoyable for all supporters.

Whilst the noise and support generated by our younger supporters is greatly appreciated and whilst we are fully aware the vast majority of our supporters do not present any issues, there has been a worrying trend at and following recent games where behaviour has been unacceptable, including groups of youths harassing others leaving the ground. Over the last couple of months we have liaised with School Safety officers, West Yorkshire Police and increased stewarding, which will be continued and stepped up. We would like to remind supporters that discriminatory, inflammatory and improper behaviour from supporters, young and old, will not be tolerated and any actions that bring the clubs name into disrepute will lead to bans. This is not limited to within the confines of the ground.

The club has strived to engage with local children including giving out over 800 junior season tickets across the last two seasons, and we are committed to both ensuring this continues and that the club retains its family friendly traditions.
