Lionesses Hit 14 Past Hepworth

Guiseley Lionesses Firsts delivered a dominant and ruthless performance, dismantling Hepworth 14–0 in an overwhelming display of attacking flair, defensive solidity, and clinical finishing, writes Kevin Green, Kelly Lambert and Adam Bridson.

The game saw Keegan Lambert score five goals and there were hat tricks for Freja Evans and Demi Pringle with Aleathia Smith hitting a brace.

A lightning start saw Pringle score within the first minute, setting the tone for the match.

10 minutes later Smith doubled the lead with a sensational 40-yard free kick.

Just 22 minutes in and the Lionesses were 3-0 up, Lambert rounded the keeper after a brilliant through ball from Pringle and slotted in her first goal of the afternoon.

Three minutes later Lambert doubled her tally with a fine low finish, assisted by Millie Fletcher.

The visitors then scored again a minute later, Evans with an absolute screamer from outside the box.

Despite multiple clearances and saves from Hepworth’s keeper and defenders, Guiseley remained relentless.

Just before half-time, Evans bagged her second with another sharp finish.

Three minutes into the second half Lambert completed her hat trick.

Four mintes later another through ball from Jade Foster teed up Lambert for her fourth.

58 minutes in Evans got her hat trick, finishing a superb run with a precise strike.

Pringle doubled her tally with high pressing and a cool finish and there was still 26 minutes left after the Lionesses’ hit their 10th of the afternoon.

Lambert bagged her fifth 71 minutes in, once again assisted by the ever-influential Foster.

A rebounded effort from Foster’s shot allowed Pringle to complete her hat trick with 10 minutes left.

The Lionesses didn’t hold up, three minutes later a Guiseley corner led to an unfortunate own goal from Hepworth.

With one minute to go Smith was fouled in the box and she confidently dispatched the penalty into the top corner to round off the scoring.
