The games aren’t stopping as another midweek clash sees the Lions travel to Hyde United after defeat last time out, writes Scott Kelly.
Team News
There are no new injury worries for Mark Bower’s men following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Rushall Olympic.
Jack Emmett and Will Longbottom are close to a return, with Liam Ridehalgh and Lucas Odunston set to miss out.
The Opposition
9/8/25 Lancaster (H) – 1-0
12/8/25 Cleethorpes (A) – 1-3
16/8/25 Stockton (A) – 2-2
The Tigers have four points from their opening trio of games and sit directly above the Lions in the standings. They heroically came from 2-0 on Saturday to grab a 2-2 draw at Stockton Town.
There is likely to be a familiar in the Hyde side on Tuesday evening. Tom Pratt rejoined the Tigers in the summer after a spell with the Lions and, later, Nantwich Town. He averaged a goal every four games in his first spell with the club from 2017-23.
Defender Festus Arthur joined the club before their game with Stockton and looks likely to play again on Tuesday.
Players to watch include veteran forward Jack Redshaw, Lewis Rawsthorn and Jordan Scanlon, who has scored two in his first three games this season.
Previous Meetings
Three of the last four matches between the sides have been score draws, with Guiseley winning the other fixture 4-0 at Nethermoor last season.
Hyde last did the double over the Lions back in 2022/23, with these 2-1 & 3-2 victories being their last victories.
The Lions haven’t won at this ground since March 2012, with a 1-0 victory at the Project Solar Stadium in what is now National League North.
