Previous Meetings
Hyde won the reverse fixture back in September, with Jordan Fagbola scoring at both ends at Ewen Fields. Eddie Brown got the other goal in the game as Hyde ran out 2-1 winners.
However, the last time the two sides met at Nethermoor, the Lions came out on top in a 2-0 victory back in 2015.
A brace from Adam Boyes that day won it for the Lions, who claimed all three points in the National League North.
The Lions’ Form Book
The Lions will be looking to extend their best home winning run since 2014 on Saturday when Hyde United come to Nethermoor.
In that year, the Lions won 12 regular league games in a row at Nethermoor, something which Paul Phillips will be looking to replicate this season as his side chase the play-offs.
Having won their last three games, Phillips will be hoping this becomes four come Saturday.
A Look At Hyde United
Hyde United will be another tough opposition for the Lions, with Saturday’s visitors taking South Shields’ place at the top last weekend.
A 1-0 win at home to Stafford Shields meant that Hyde have now gone five league games unbeaten.
The Tigers have not lost away since October, with a lot of their form coming courtesy of some fantastic away performances.
Hyde top scorer Brad Roscoe is on six for the season, with his last coming in a 2-2 draw with Warrington Town.
Tom Pratt has also been in fine form for Nicky Spooner’s side, after bagging a brace against FC United of Manchester, when the Tigers managed a 4-4 draw at Broadhurst Park.
Hyde will provide a tough test for Paul Phillips’ side, in what is sure to be another intriguing between two teams in form.
A Look At The Lions
Jake Cassidy continued his return to full fitness after playing the first half of our friendly win at Thackley on Tuesday night.
Adam Haw, Hagie Damba, Lewis Gardner, Nat Crofts and Lewis Hey all gained vital game time in the game and looked to have come out unscathed to give Paul Phillips more options in the coming weeks.
There was concern for Courtney Meppen-Walters, Kallan Murphy and Andy Kellett who were all withdrawn from the game early on Tuesday following treatment from Andy Henson.
Spencer Harris and Zak Dearnley are out through injury.
Tickets for the game with Hyde United can be purchased at the turnstiles on the day with cash payment only or online in advance here. Don’t forget to pick up a matchday programme for just £3, it is packed full with exclusive content with what you will find inside here.
