2015/16 Academy Trials

Open trials for next season’s Guiseley AFC Academy have been confirmed and players between the ages of 16 to 18 are invited to join the trials on Sat 28th February 12-2pm and Sat 14th March 12-2pm at Leeds Trinity University, Brownberrie Lane, Horsforth LS18 5HD.

Trialists are asked to attend both dates and bring appropriate for footwear for a 3G pitch.

Now in its third season, the Academy has been a big success on and off the pitch. Three Academy players have moved into professional football while a number of players have had experience playing for Mark Bower’s first team.

In addition to the individual progression, the Academy team has contested for honours, finishing runners-up in the Conference Youth Alliance last season.

Academy manager David Currie welcomes players from all footballing backgrounds to apply, stating: “Whilst a number of the players currently with us have come from pro academies having slipped through the net, many come from junior football and plenty of these young men have progressed excellently.”

Players study different educational paths (Btec Sport, A levels, GCSE re-sits) depending on their previous academic achievement at one of our education partners Shipley College and Benton Park HS.

If you wish to attend these trials please email your football CV and achieved/estimated academic achievement to David Currie on : headyouthdev@guiseleyafc.co.uk
