Lions fan Joe Priestley previews our first ever trip to Kettering’s Latimer Park ground.
Tuesday 24th November – 7:45pm Kick-Off
Latimer Park, Burton Latimer, NN15 5PS
After a very disappointing week, Guiseley are looking to right the wrongs of their most recent games with a trip to Paul Cox’s Kettering this Tuesday night. At this very early stage of an incredibly unpredictable season, both teams find themselves in the relegation zone and will be looking to take all three points and build some much needed confidence.
The Lions
Since their return from self-isolation, The Lions have struggled to find their footing, having conceded six goals. There were certainly more positives to take from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Gloucester, Nathan Newall continued to prove himself and there were minutes for fellow academy graduates Lewis Hey and Adam Haw. The Lions will once again be without Kaine Felix due to injury.
Kettering Town
In the summer, Kettering lost two key players in goalkeeper Paul White who joined Hereford, and attacker Tre Mitford who joined Brackley. Daniel Nti could cause The Lions some woes defensively. Kettering have one win to their name this season, not unlike ourselves.
