Goalkeeper Jon Worsnop has re-joined Guiseley as James Montgomery leaves to take up a scholarship at the Nike Academy based in Loughborough.
Worsnop was the Lions’ keeper during the season the club won promotion from the Northern Premier League into the Conference North Division. He has since played for Worksop Town and, most recently, FC United of Manchester. The 30 year-old signed last night and will take Montgomery’s place in the squad.
The club would like to welcome Jon back to Nethermoor and wish James all the best as he pursues his professional football career.
Youth Academy prospects Ben Whitfield and Conor Crosley have also signed first team forms.
