I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of myself and my son for a most enjoyable afternoon yesterday at the Telford match.

My son has been wanting me to take him to a proper football match for some time now.  We live locally and while I’ve thought about going to Leeds or Bradford City I just felt the atmospheres there would be too intimidating for him. I spotted you were at home yesterday and we decided to come along on the spur of the moment.

This was only the second match he has ever been to. It was a great experience for him and we both enjoyed the great atmosphere in your excellent little stadium. We got a warm welcome from the moment we came in. A special mention for the turnstile operator, the programme seller, and the refreshment hut staff. The sausage roll was first class!  All were very friendly and helpful.

We also enjoyed chatting to some of the other supporters including some very nice people from Telford. It’s great that it’s still possible for both sets of supporters to mingle together and exchange friendly banter. My son was also was able to run around the ground playing with some lads of his own age without the need for me to worry about his safety.

I’m sorry the result of the game must have been a bit disappointing for you but it was a good game played in a great spirit and I’m sure you’ll get better results against other teams. The Guiseley lads acquitted themselves well.

Once again, thanks for a great time and we certainly hope to be back in the near future for another game. All the best for the rest of the season. I hope you do get promoted to the Blue Square Premier as I’m a lifelong Kettering Town fan and it will mean a game that I can get to easily!
