Guiseley AFC’s new look defence is starting to take shape with former Harrogate Town centre-back Terry Kennedy having joined Scott Garner and Niall Heaton in the Lions’ defence.
The Barnsley-born 24 year-old had a youth career with both home-town club Barnsley and Sheffield United.
He turned professional with The Blades in 2011 and after 19 appearances in five seasons, when he also had a loan spell at Cambridge United, he moved on to sign for Alfreton Town making 26 appearances for them in 2016-17 where he linked up with new Joint First Team Manager Russ O’Neill.
At the end of that season Kennedy moved on to join Harrogate Town where he made 31 appearances for Simon Weaver’s promotion winning side scoring nine goals and was the club’s Away Supporters Player-of-the Year.
